FastTrak scans the tray, rings up the meal, and processes the transaction. Your staff moves from swipe screens to students. One supervisor, every line.
David Belford and Eric Tuininga walk through what FastTrak does at the register, how it fits an existing EduTrak Food Service setup, and what a first rollout looks like. Bring your questions. We saved time for them.

Register on Zoom →FastTrak sits at the checkout point. A camera scans the tray, matches items to your free and reduced regulations, the day's menu, and posts the transaction into EduTrak Food Service Point of Sale. No manual entry, no scrambling for student info at the register. À la carte and reimbursable meal rules run through quickly, smoothly, and automatically.
One line supervisor can keep an eye on several FastTraks at once from a single terminal, handle exceptions in real time, and free up staff for other important tasks during the busiest part of the day.
One supervisor. Multiple lines. More time to focus on what matters.
Trays move through the line the way they do today. Nothing about cafeteria menu, reimbursable meal compliance, or daily prep changes.
FastTrak's high definition camera matches what's on the tray to the day's menu. Kids identify themselves just like they do now, whether that's a fingerprint, palm scan, PIN, barcode, or card swipe, and FastTrak does the rest. À la carte and reimbursable meal rules run through quickly, smoothly, and automatically.
Account balances, meal counts, and reimbursable meal reporting update the way they do now. The student is already at their table or on the playground and you have all the data you need to finish the day.
Every transaction tells the full story: the entrée, the sides, down to the number of ketchup packets. Reports can be as detailed or as summary-level as you need, so whether you're running USDA compliance reports or just keeping an eye on what's actually moving through the line, the data is there.

Districts already running EduTrak Food Service. New districts that subscribe to Food Service will have the option to add FastTrak soon.
FastTrak replaces the cashier register step at the checkout point. Account balances, meal counts, and reimbursable meal reporting still run through EduTrak Food Service.
The team walks through hardware, install timing, and staff training on the intro call. Most districts start with one line at one school before expanding.
Pricing depends on lines and buildings in scope. We put together a quote after the intro call.
Yes. FastTrak runs on EduTrak Server Core (ESC) and is compatible with both the Orchid and Lotus releases. If your district is still on LCS, you'll need to upgrade to ESC before adding FastTrak. Your account rep can walk you through what that looks like.
